UNSOLVED HOMICIDE

JOHNNIE KORNEGAY

DOB: 22 January 1928 (

Johnnie Kornegay, age 36, of Tallahassee was murdered in his yellow cab near the intersection of Brevard and Woodward Streets at approximately 0402 hours on December 29, 1964. 

Mr. Kornegay, a taxicab driver, was killed during what is believed to be a robbery.  Mr. Kornegay picked up a passenger at the taxi stand next to the Greyhound Bus Station on Adams Street about 0335 hours.  He was found murdered by a Florida Highway Patrol Trooper.
